Frequently Asked Questions

When placing an order, are there any minimum order requirements?

Screenprinting: YES Our minimum requirement is 12 pieces for every color and application. For example: If you have a design that has a 2 color front and a 2 color back. The minimum order would be 48 pieces.

Embroidery: Per Order We usually do not have minimum requirements for embroidery orders, but a minimum order may be required if the order has a high stitch count and/or may need special handling.

Promotional Products: YES Every promotional product has its own specific requirements. Please call for any order minimums.

What is your pricing?

Our pricing reflects quantity discounting. It is more economical to order a higher volume.

What is the average delivery time for an order?

Silkscreening orders take between 7-10 days.
Embroidery orders take between 10-15 days.
Promotional product orders take between 2-3 weeks.
Please allow additional time for shipping.

No orders will be processed without a signed work order and 50% deposit. Orders may be delayed because of inventory and/or availability issues with our vendors.

Can I receive an order before the average delivery times listed above?

YES. Rush services are available, based on production capacity and decorating method. We can deliver in 24-48-72 hours with an extra fee for rush production, and overnight freight. We will make every attempt to meet your deadline. Please call us to discuss your specific needs.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept personal, school, and/or business checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. You can pay for your order with a 50% deposit balance on a C.O.D. basis.

How do I send my artwork?

Digital files approximately 9mb and smaller can be emailed to our sales staff. Larger files and/or folders containing fonts, linked files, and additional resources are to be sent through our FTP (File Transfer Protocol) address. Please call our sales staff for FTP information. For Photoshop, .TIF, .BMP, and .JPG files we generally require a minimum of 200 dpi, but no larger than 300 dpi at the desired size. Regardless of resolution, all artwork needs to be approved by Ellens prior to ordering because not all files will require these guidelines.

Ellens accepts:

  • .AI (Adobe Illustrator) - CS6 current version
  • .EPS (Generic vector format)
  • .PSD (Photoshop) - CS3 current version
  • .TIF, .BMP, .JPG

Ellens DOES NOT ACCEPT:

  • .PUB (MicroSoft Publisher)
  • .QXD (Quark)
  • .IND (Adobe InDesign)

We request that any original art, such as, sketches, drawings, or paintings be handed in by the customer to ensure that the art is not destroyed from transit. Ellens Silkscreening is not responsible for art lost and/or damaged by the post office or courier.

If I place an order, can I get a re-order later?

YES. There will be no screen charges for re-orders within 2 years of the original invoice date. After 2 years there is a $10 charge per screen. Re-orders are subject to the same minimum order requirements as listed above.
